Digital Corporate Communications for Wealth Management

For Northern Trust, a leading provider of wealth management with more than 40 locations around the world, communicating with stakeholders is vital along with asset servicing and asset management which can present a logistical challenge.

As Northern Trust has expanded its operations, including a new conference center in its Chicago headquarters and a new operations center in Tempe, Arizona, they sought to punch up their communications. The goal was to select a platform that was both targeted and dynamic, maximize the use of digital video screens and other technology to keep messages relevant, up-to-date, and engaging.

As Northern Trust has expanded its business operations, including a new conference center at its Chicago headquarters and a new operations center in Tempe, Arizona, the company was looking for a way to improve its communications. The goal was to select a platform that was both targeted and dynamic, maximizing the use of digital video screens and other technologies to keep messages relevant, timely and engaging.

To tackle the communications overhaul, Northern Trust implemented X2O Media’s visual communications platform in two buildings in Chicago, at its Arizona operations center and in London. Gone are the time-consuming, paper-wasting posters and other printed materials that quickly become outdated and can’t be easily updated. In addition, the team no longer has to physically distribute the printed materials throughout the buildings. Instead, they can simply post the information – such as training schedules – and distribute it to digital displays at the touch of a button. The information can be updated almost instantly when needed, without having to run to another floor to reprint material. At the new operations center in Tempe, Northern Trust can play marketing or recruiting videos for prospective employees in the entryway and update them as often as needed.

Northern Trust chose X2O Media because the software is easy to learn with minimal training, yet doesn’t compromise on advanced features.
